If I upgrade my computer, how do I move all my Guest Rx guest and event information?

When you install Guest Rx, a folder is created in the "My Documents" folder named GuestRx. A data file is created in this folder that contains all you guest and event information. When you upgrade your computer, follow these steps.

1) Backup the "My Documents" folder from the old computer. Include the "grxdata.mdb" file from the "Guestrx" folder.

2) Install Guest Rx on the new computer.

3) Register Guest Rx with your registration key.

4) Exit GuestRx

5) Replace the default GuestRx data file "grxdata.mdb" with the data file from the old computer that contains your guest and event information.

How do I purchase a copy of Guest Rx as a gift?

Registration codes may only be used by the registered user. By purchasing a Gift Certificate, you can transfer the gift certificate code to the recipient or apply for a refund at any time.

The recipient must visit guestrx.com and enter their name, email address, and the unique gift certificate number into the fields of the Registration web page. After the code has been verified, a unique registration code is provided to the end user that may be used to unlock the demonstration version of Guest Rx on their computer.

After inserting the Guest Rx CD in the CD drive, I receive a message stating that Access 2000 is not installed on my PC.

The installation program with Guest Rx can not recognize Microsoft Office XP correctly. To install Guest Rx, please follow these steps:

1) Double click on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop.

2) Make sure the "Folders" button in the menu bar is selected. A list containing the hard drive and CD drive will appear on the left side of the window.

3) Click on the "Plus" sign to the left of the CD drive labeled Guest Rx. A folder named Runtime will appear below Guest Rx.

4) Click on "Runtime", a list of files will appear to the right. Double click on "Setup.exe". This will install the required application to run Guest Rx. After the installation is complete, eject the CD and restart the computer.

5) After the computer has restarted, re-insert the Guest Rx CD. Guest Rx should now install automatically.

When I click on a help feature, a message appears that reads that the help file could not be found.

If this message appears, the link to the help file has been changed. To fix the link, click on the "find help file" option and select the grxhelp.hlp file in the "C:/Program Files/GuestRx" folder.

When I preview my invitations, the state is missing.

Guest Rx requires the country to be specified as "USA" in order to replace the designated state abbreviations to their full name. If the field is left blank, please replace the text with "USA". This may occur with the Excel import if you do not specify a column for the country field.
